Symmetrical & committed to straight lines, this house is a convincing georgian survivor. Unlike the attenuated, sometimes exaggeratedly delicate loyalist doorcase, this one shelters a lovely 6 panelled door with a typically small doorknob and has a compact frieze & a georgian straightforwardness. The builder didn't stop there: to light the centre hall, he topped the cornice with a 6 paned transom, & capped that with a stone lintel to match the windows -porch added at the turn of the 20th century
